Update Regarding Water Taste and Smell
In response to recent inquiries about an earthy taste or smell in the water supply, we would like to reassure customers that our water remains fully compliant with all drinking water standards.
The earthy taste is caused by a harmless, naturally occurring compound found in healthy soils and aquatic environments. It is the same compound that gives vegetables like spinach and beetroot their characteristic earthy flavor. Recent warm weather has made this more noticeable in our water.
If you are sensitive to the taste, chilling your tap water in the fridge before drinking helps significantly reduce both the taste and smell.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
